Delegation Update why we need keep building

By jtucker70 | April 11, 2008

I have received allot email why I am stressing so much for everyone get a delegate position or alternate.
Well the primary’s are not over for one and McCain is just presumptive nominee. I can’t stress that enough. Has of right now McCain only has 814 Delegates Bound to him on first ballot, only 364 Bound on second Ballot and 187 Bound to third ballot. There are about 156 more delegates in remaining primaries.
I don’t know where MSM gets their numbers but they also show Ron Paul with only 14 delegates. Which is way incorrect? Has about 48 Bound Delegates and about 596 delegates been chosen for National Convention that say they are Ron Paul supporters.
Have we taken over conventions we have big voice in National Convention and we could really win it their……Along the way putting in our platform.
And if we could force a fourth Ballot it would really say something that we have a voice. It’s just hard for me to imagine that Ron Paul wins majority straw polls and big slide in CD14 and yet media spins he has no support.
I just want mention all those that say hey but people voted and they want McCain. Remember allot the states Ron Paul did poor in allowed Dem’s and others to vote not to mention hacking of voting machines the changing of the rules after Ron Paul won LA. To give it to Huckabee/McCain.
I just think its so important that we try with all our efforts to be delegates and alternates and find the delegates and get them to vote our way and if we are a bound delegate option to be uncommitted so free vote whom ever also it was proposed to request to not pledge the delegates in Texas has just saying there no need since McCain is presumptive Nominee that’s a another good position. Just doing anything to stop McCain getting 1191 votes.
Anyone wanting information on rules or application for national Delegate contacts me at jtucker70@yahoo.com

JAMES TUCKER KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!! I think you are right on everything, except there are more delegates still available than you mentioned. I will post a list of all the remaining states that there are and how many delegates each state has to it…

I wholeheartedly agree with the spirit of the post, however some references to back up the numbers that are floating throughout the citation would be helpful. Also, the spelling and grammar should be reviewed if this is to be passed along to any serious media outlets for consideration, or even to be linked on forums/blogs online.

It was a hard read. The grammar and spelling were pretty bad. But I got the message. This is my first year of involvement and I have a lot to learn. I will definately research how to become a delegate in New Jersey.

    Thank you.

    Greetings Ron Paul Supporters

The National DVDs for Delegates Project is beginning, as of Wednesday, and I wanted to invite you all to join.

We did a great job on the Alaska DVDs for Delegates Project, and this is the next step.

In order to manifest his project as a national team, I’ve created a new meetup group.

Please visit http://ronpaul.meetup.com/1873/ and apply to join if you are interested. Make sure you answer your profile questions, so I can know it’s you. I’m only approving people who identify themselves, for the obvious reasons.

I hope all of you who are major organizers in your state or region will consider joining this new group—we will need representatives who are tied into the grassroots from every state.

This will be a big meetup group–but don’t worry, I am turning off the group email function, so most conversation in this group will be limited to the Message Board.

This meetup group will be our first draft organizational tool for this project, though I expect to use other websites to promote and collect resources needed for this project once the FEC, finance, and other legal and technical issues have been properly vetted though our discussions here.

This is an ambitious but very doable project. Together, we will make history.

    National DVDs For Delegates Project
The purpose of this Ron Paul Meetup Topic is to facilitate grassroots project brainstorming, planning, and completion of the National DVDs for Delegates Project.

Between now and mid-August, we will create, manufacture, and distribute a series of four DVDs to the mailing addresses of all identified Delegates and Alternates to the 2008 GOP Convention in Saint Paul.

This project will utilize the best of existing redistributable video content, and may require the creation of select new content.

Our goal is to use this opportunity to communicate important information to GOP Delegates. We will share media containing perspectives new to most delegates, media blacked out by the 5 mega-corporations who currently ignore the Ron Paul Constitutional Message from their news and other media coverage.

Libertarian Americans must never give up the fight to put someone with Ron Paul’s civil rights and economic rights views in the White House. I’m writing him in if he doesn’t get nominated. And perhaps by some miracle, he might get the nomination. Miracles do happen. And the Keynesian’s are making such a mess of the economy, you might have hundreds of thousands chanting “Ron Paul” and “Abolish the Fed, Defend the Dollar” by the time September rolls around.
A pure, uncorrupted action is a revolutionary action, and supporting Ron Paul all the way to the convention as if he will be President is such an action.
Don’t give up. Nil desperandum. — Silverwolf

Jo: Romney released our MT Delegates when he officially dropped ~ in writing to our SOS; they are free. McWar took 4th in our Closed Caucus, Feb. 5th; thank goodness, our Delegates aren’t bound to him. Our State GOP invited Ron Paul to our June 19-21 Convention; he accepted, and will be our Keynote Speaker. Something else the MSM has wrong: MT has a June 3rd Open Primary ~ Republican also, not just the Democratic Party; both Paul and McWar qualified to be on the Ballot by Petition. I only see the MSM reference to a DEM Primary in our State ~ WRONG. Hope this clarifies the count. We’re still working hard for Dr. Paul here.

Romney dropped out in writing? If so THANK GOD!! He was my fear of the ace in the hole for the GOP!! It is so great to see people on this site using it for what it is intended for! I am an alternate but high up on the list and got to go to our first CD1 Convention so I am praying to go to state next!! I agree with Silverwolf on the write in that has been my second choice for how to get RP in office. Thank you all for sticking with this campaign, some in here have given up but much like you I am in this until the end! And farther for the revolution. God bless

Quick question, does anyone have any new ideas to say to people when they say I believe in everything Ron Paul stands for I just don’t want to waste my vote on him, he won’t win anyway. I get tired of saying over and over, if everyone that felt that way would vote for him he would win by a landslide!

Thanks.I got this information from the HQ website they should change it. So your saying that the June 2rd primary is open, and it is caucus? Is that right?

Here this is for you to pass along to your Montana meetup or contacts…..VERY URGENT>>>>>>>>

    Next Steps

First of all, please forgive my not responding individually to all of your emails since the Montana Presidential Caucus on February 5th. Frankly, the number of emails has been overwhelming. I know most all of you have similar questions: “What does Romney pulling out mean?” “Where do we go from here?”

I want you all to know the Ron Paul campaign is strong and here for the duration — to the National Convention!

Next, I want to share that we have a very strategic plan to be worked immediately here in Montana. Because of Romney’s withdrawal, the Montana delegates are now up for grabs.

Here is the need. I am in the process right now of identifying leadership teams to work in EVERY COUNTY.

If you would like to play an active role for your county, WE NEED YOU!

Email your name, County you live in and contact phone numbers to dave@ronpaul2008.com

Doing so will not commit you to anything, but rather express your desire to see this campaign move forward in Montana and that you may be willing to assist.

Either myself or another county team leader will contact you ASAP regarding next steps.

Please reply to this TODAY, as we plan on having our first conference call this Wednesday evening.

Be encouraged. We are in a very strong position to finish this race and do it well.

    MeetUp Group

Join your local Ron Paul Meetup group and network with other local Ron Paul supporters. Montana currently has Meetup groups in over 10 communities across the state. They are all active and busy in educating the public about Ron Paul. They need Ron Paul supporters to join them via the Meetup website. You will then know about local Ron Paul support activities you can participate in.

I went in try fix spelling errors ect sorry I just got so much I trying to do. Idaho is closed to the person that posted it was open. They voted to have in Closed Primary. Yes we still have allot of Delegates to win we need too. We also need get has many conventions turned over. I received email from one person saying we shouldn’t be filling out applications for national convention. His reason this indicates that we Ron Paul people now nowhere on any application have I seen where you have to declare who you support. But, he replied with well those that not been affiliated with party. But, you have because you been campaigning for Ron Paul thats a Republican participation. And I not ashamed for them to know I support Ron Paul. At this point I feel we need not be hiding but coming out in droves showing out numbers.I also don’t hide my anti-McCain stand either and this has won me favor with in the party because reality is 90% of this party doesn’t support McCain and problem is they don’t want butt heads.
Too answer question where I get the pledges for Ron Paul. One thing is you go to results of state convention and Primaries that have occurred and they show both the hard pledges and soft I should stated they combination of both.
My main point there is MSM wants people think Ron Paul is out of it we need except McCain. Not the case Ron Paul has far more delegates then the 14 that most MSM report’s

My fellow supporters it not just about Ron Paul we too need take up and be proactive. That why writing out resolutions helping create and maintain the platforms. writing congressman senator everyday till they get the message. we not going to take it anymore. I know its allot work But has Jesus said ” I never said it be easy I only said it be worth It” (Thats not direct quote just something I remembered I learned)

So, I hope you take allot action be very active. I know allot of you say I have jobs or activities. But, my thought is this if we don’t act you may not have a job or activity’s to go too.

As to those who won’t vote for someone they don’t think can win, tell them this:

If they don’t vote for what they want, how will they ever get it? If out of some defeated feeling you vote for someone you don’t like, will you have any right to be surprised when someone you don’t like wins?

Stevens County, Washington state held their Republican County Convention in Colville Washington on Saturday April 12th. Ron Paul people handily picked up 11 of the 13 at large delegates elected to go to State Convention. WOW!. The old guard didn’t have a clue what hit them. Maybe this morning after a restless night they might have gotten a clue. (smiles).

Remember to motion to COUNT THE VOTES at your district and state conventions! The face of pure evil will be at all these conventions doing their best to keep RPers from advancing to the RNC. Expect EVERY TYPE of treachery imaginable. MeetUp with other RP delegates and master Roberts Rules of Orders - don’t let them cheat!

Also, it is very important to meet with the other RP people beforehand so you can vote on your delegates that you will support. You want all the RP people to vote for the same people - preferably those who have been working their asses off to support Ron Paul. By voting in a bloc you will insure a RP delegate to National. Also, work to dilute the vote of the opposition. Run as many candidates as you can to confuse them.

We can win all the RNC slots. We have the numbers!

WHICH COMES TO 428 DELEGATES AFTER YOUR ORIGINAL POST,
336 LEFT AS OF NOW, APRIL 26TH.

    I have no idea about:
    May 13 - West Virginia–30
    June 3 - Montana–25 close/caucus
(BOTH HAD A CAUCUS ON FEBRUARY 5TH)

    THE REVOLUTION CONTINUES NOW,
I am campaigning in my state of Oregon, and people are eager to vote for RP. I anticipate a real surprise from Oregon for the neo-Cons. We also have been working to fill as many PCP slots as possible for the conventions.

THE REVOLUTION WILL CONTINUE BEYOND THIS ELECTION.
It is the young people who are most interested in Ron Paul’s ideas. I met 2 first time voters on the bus who knew that Obama won’t end the war in Iraq. They took my literature and encouragement readily. Another young lady took a registration form from me and was glad to still be able to make the deadline and vote for RP.

    LIBERTY OR DEATH
